We’re on night two of ten, individually featuring each one of our Style Team | Season 1 members! Tonight we’re giving you a close up into the ultra-fashionable life of Jennifer Kipp! She’s one stylish western senorita, who we’re oh- so excited to be working with!
Hey, Jennifer! Tell us a little bit about where you’re from, if you have a job other than influencing, your family, etc.
I’m a born and raised Texan. Wife and mother of two girls. I was working as a part-time administrative assistant but now working for a small boutique’s storefront and doing their social media. I’m also a photographer with Jenn Kipp Photography and work with various shops.
How would you describe your personal style?
I’m versatile! Trendy, casual, boho, western, vintage and sporty.
What’s your favorite aspect of fashion?
Getting to show my creativity with it. Fashion to me, is an art.
What’s currently your favorite piece in your closet?
My maxi dresses and skirt! I have a rare skin condition I was born with and don’t particularly like showing my legs. Maxi dresses are especially perfect during the hot summer months for me.
Who is your biggest style inspiration, or style icon?
Do Miranda Lambert and Dolly Parton count?! I also love Christine from “Hello Fashion Blog”!
More importantly, dark or milk chocolate?
Dark!
What’s your favorite way to unwind?
Reading my devotional and listening to praise/worship music.
What’s your favorite fashion season?
Summer!!
What is your favorite social network and why?
Instagram. It’s been such a big foundation for my business and blogging.
If you could give advice to a young person, interested in fashion, and maybe one day hoping to become a blogger or influencer – what would you tell them?
I would tell them life is too short to not go after their dreams. Do what you love and what you’re passionate about. There will be bumps in the road and challenges but do it! Go for it and don’t give up. Dream big and have faith!
How long have you been a blogger or fashion influencer?
Well, I was I told when I was younger from a mentor that I’m a “woman of influence.” I’ve always been into fashion since I can remember. I officially started my blog when I first became a mom in 2009 but put it into full force as a fashion influencer 3 years ago.
How did your blog get started? Any fun stories behind your name?
I’ve always loved sharing my love for things and sharing life in general. It was the stepping stone I used in creating it. After much thought and a few changes along the way I decided to brand my own name with a tag line of “Beauty through imperfections”. I am perfectly imperfect and it’s through God’s grace that I am who I am today. It seemed fitting for me.
What are your favorite trends at the moment?
Vintage! This is always a favorite fashion trend though!
If you styled a celebrity– who would it be?
Again, Miranda! =P
Which boutiques do you like to shop with, and why boutiques?
Farm Girl Boutique, The Lace Cactus, The Turquoise Tractor, The Mint Julep, Shop a little peace of Joy, Farmhouse Market, Petticoat Junction, and Pink Lily Boutique–just to name a few of the many! I know the heart behind small businesses especially because I’m an entrepreneur. I love supporting these types of businesses!
At the end of it all, I genuinely love inspiring and encouraging other women. I enjoy sharing my excitement about things and sharing what God has done in my life =)
