03 Dec Starting Your Own Business and Foundation
Today Julie Allen, owner of Mary Rose Boutique and Mary Rose Foundation, joins us to discuss starting your own business and foundation. Her mission is all about spreading a positive message within the community around her and changing lives in the process. The most crucial point Julie brings up in today’s episode is how important it is to have a WHY behind your business. You won’t want to miss Julie Allen’s amazing and inspiring story! And as a heads up for our listeners, today’s episode discusses battling eating disorders and mental illness.
STARTING YOU OWN BUSINESS & FOUNDATION’S KEY POINTS
- Find your WHY and create your business around it.
- Do one thing every day that scares you.
- The most important thing to do is love yourself and model that for your children and those around you. Self-love should be your main priority.
(when discussing mental illness) “It’s so important for us to talk about, there is still shame around it, there’s still shame in saying “I’m not ok” or “ I need help”, I’m trying really hard to break that down.” – Julie
“I want women to know that no matter what you’re going through your not alone and that is the whole message behind Mary Rose.” -Julie
“Find your message and really focus on building that community around your brand and attract those 100 superfans.” -Julie
